Motorcycle wiring loom Defender: the photos show a loom in a corrugated sleeve, a black ignition-lock sleeve, white connector blocks, a white cylindrical fuse holder and a separate red battery wire with a ring terminal. Compare the connector blocks with your old loom.

• The wiring loom is the electrical skeleton of the whole motorcycle: it carries the ignition, lighting, starter and instrument circuits, and a rotten or burnt loom causes faults you will not find by replacing a single part
• At one end of the loom a wide black rubber sleeve is moulded on – through it the wires are gathered into one bundle; a few flat terminals and one ring terminal come out of it
• A separate photo shows a white translucent cylindrical fuse holder with a red wire – the fuse is replaced without dismantling the loom
• Another photo shows six single terminals in transparent sleeves that can be counted: brown, blue, orange, green, yellow and one wider one
• In another one – white connector blocks with green, blue, yellow, red and white wires; the connector blocks are of different widths, so they cannot be fitted in reverse
• The last photo shows a separate thick red wire with a ring terminal and a red terminal cap; such a wire goes to the battery positive
• The photos give no loom length, no wire cross-section, no fuse rating and no connector block numbering

To be straight with you: which plug is for which device, and what fuse rating should sit in the holder, the maker did not specify, and we do not guess: a fuse that is too strong protects nothing. Which Defender version and which years the loom is for is also not written. Before ordering, count the connector blocks and their contacts on your old loom, send us a photo of the old part – we will check it before you order.
