Synthetic brake fluid.

Can be used together with DOT 3, DOT 4, DOT 5.1. Exceeds the requirements of the American DOT 4 standard and the specifications of leading car manufacturers (BMW, VW, MAN) for brake fluids for passenger cars and trucks.

Why XADO DOT-4 contains revitalizant:

The revitalizant contained in XADO DOT-4 forms a very smooth (Ra < 0,06) layer with anti-corrosion properties on the walls of the parts and on the pistons of the master and working brake cylinders. This eliminates the possibility of flaking and corrosion. This increases the reliability and smooth operation of the braking system. Even with a dangerous moisture content, when XADO DOT-4 is used, the risk of brake failure is reduced 2-2,5 times compared with cases where brake fluid without revitalizant is used.

Why brake fluid needs to be changed.

Brake fluid is hygroscopic, i.e. the fluid can absorb moisture.

New brake fluid has a very high boiling point (above 260 0C) and remains incompressible even when the brakes heat up intensively during braking. The fluid immediately transmits the driver's impulse to the brake pads when the brake pedal is pressed. Over time, moisture penetrating through microscopic hoses and the pores of sealing devices settles in the brake fluid, which lowers its boiling point. When the brake pads overheat, the brake fluid can boil. When the fluid boils, bubbles of vapour and air gas form. The fluid becomes compressible. The braking impulse from the pedal is not transmitted immediately and the driver feels that braking is slowing down.

Limit boiling point - 160 0C.

Brake fluid must be changed after 2-2,5 years of use.

Technical information

  • Recommended for use in cars where the manufacturer recommends brake fluids DOT 4 or DOT 3.
  • Can be mixed with standard brake fluids (bright golden-coloured fluids DOT 3, DOT 4, DOT 5.1).
  • Not recommended for use in a brake system containing fluid made on a mineral base (green, LHM) or silicone brake fluid (purple, DOT 5).
