Product information
SPECIAL CAR AIR CONDITIONER CHARGING DEVICE WITH PRESSURE GAUGE.
The air conditioner is charged with the engine running and the air conditioner switched on, through the inlet port of the low-pressure line. The port is fitted on the low-pressure tube, between the evaporator and the compressor. The inlet port usually has a blue or black cap that protects it from dust.
Attention! It is forbidden to charge the air conditioner through the high-pressure port (red cap).
FOR MEASURING SYSTEM PRESSURE:
- Remove the protective cap from the low-pressure line port.
- Check that the valve of the device is closed. It must be fully screwed in clockwise.
- Start the engine and switch on the air conditioner. Let the compressor run for about 3 min.
- Using the quick-release coupler, connect the charging device to the inlet port – pull back the coupler latch and push the coupler onto the port. Release the latch.
- The pressure gauge will show the pressure in the low-pressure line.
- The air conditioner system is charged if the needle of the XADO TEST KONEKTOR pressure gauge is in the blue sector (25-45 psi ~ 1,7-3 bar).
CHARGING:
- Remove the protective cap from the low-pressure line port.
- Fully open the valve of the charging device with the piercing needle - turn it counter-clockwise.
- Shake the can vigorously and screw it tightly onto the charging device. Make sure the engine is running and the air conditioner is switched on.
- Using the quick-release coupler, connect the charging device to the inlet port – pull back the coupler latch and push the coupler onto the port.
- Pour the contents of the can into the air conditioner system. To pierce the membrane, turn the valve of the charging device with the piercing needle clockwise. Then open the valve fully counter-clockwise so that the refrigerant flows into the air conditioner. While charging the refrigerant, lift the can and turn it upside down. Shake the can from time to time.
- While charging, close the valve from time to time and check the air conditioner fill level on the pressure gauge. The air conditioner system is charged if the needle of the XADO TEST KONEKTOR pressure gauge is in the blue sector (25-45 psi ~ 1,7-3 bar).
- If the pressure does not rise after the contents of one can have been poured in, do not add more. Contact a specialised car service company.
- After charging the air conditioner, close the valve of the charging device. Pull back the coupler latch and disconnect the charging device from the port. If you have not used all the refrigerant in the can, leave the can connected to the charging device.
- Put the protective cap on the charging port.
