Air filter 38mm rotated 90

Air filter with a sleeve rotated 90°, connection diameter 38 mm. The filter's job is to keep dust and sand out of the carburettor and cylinder: a clogged filter chokes the draw, and without it the piston and rings wear out fast.

• Connection diameter 38 mm – the rubber sleeve fits over the carburettor spigot and is tightened with a clamp; the clamp is included
• Dimensions: height 134 mm, body diameter 62 mm, width 80 mm – measure whether there is enough room
• The sleeve is rotated 90° – the filter sits to the side rather than straight behind the carburettor; useful when there is no room behind the carburettor
• The filtering element is mesh: it can be washed and reused, and after washing and drying it is worth oiling it with air filter oil (find it in the "Oils & care" category)
• When to replace it: when the element still comes out grey after washing, when it is torn, or when the rubber sleeve has gone hard and cracked
