Button - stop / engine kill, normally closed

Tear-off kill switch button: a black housing with a clamp for the handlebar, a red cap on a coiled lanyard with a clip, and a white two-pin connector block at the end of the cable. Measure the handlebar diameter before ordering.

• This kind of button with a lanyard is meant to stop the engine if the rider falls off: the clip is fastened to the rider, and the lanyard pulls the cap off the button
• Fitted in place, the cap covers the front of the housing, and once removed a small red button is exposed; inside the cap a raised centre is visible
• The coiled lanyard is red, and at both its ends there are loops with metal bushes: on one, the cap; on the other, the wire clip
• The clamp is split and tightened with bolts and nuts; grooves are visible on its inner side
• The black cable ends in a white two-pin connector block, into which the red and green wires go
• The photo gives no clamp diameter and no cable length

To be straight with you: whether the contacts close or open when the cap is removed, and which wire connects where, is not shown in the photo, and we do not guess: wired the wrong way, the engine may either fail to start or fail to stop when it should. Before ordering, measure the handlebar diameter, test your old kill switch with a multimeter, send us a photo of the old part — we will check it before you order.
