• The magneto (rotor) turns together with the crankshaft and its field excites the stator windings; without it the generator gives no current
• The rotor is replaced because of weakened magnets, a cracked or spun inner disc, and a worn-out key slot – then ignition either lags or disappears
• The photo shows a thread in the centre of the hub, six screws and two windows for the ignition timing mark – you will recognise yours by them
• The dimensions are marked in the following photos: outer 82 mm, height 36,5 mm, hub bore 15,5 mm
• It must be removed with a threaded puller tool, not a foot-type puller; threaded pullers are separate products – there are some in this category and in the category "Tools"
