WI AI22515 stator for SUZUKI AD50: plate Ø 84 mm, centre bore Ø 36 mm, holes on a 47 mm circle, three leads — white and yellow in one plug, red on its own.

• The stator is the fixed part of the generator: the magnet spins around it, current builds up in the windings, charges the battery and feeds the ignition
• A burnt stator shows itself by blackened windings, a smell of burning, a battery that will not charge and a spark that dies as the engine warms up
• In the photo three leads come out: white and yellow into a two-pin connector, red into a separate single-pin plug — count yours before you order
• Compared with our other SUZUKI AD50 stator, this one differs in the wiring system
• Before replacing, measure the winding resistance and the insulation resistance to earth: often the fault is the regulator or oxidised connector pins, not the stator
• The number of poles alone is not enough: the plate diameter, the number of leads and the plug type all have to match
