Generator windings (stator) ATV250 for a quad, 18 poles, marking C – the photo shows how it differs from B.

• The stator is the stationary part of the generator: a magnet rotates around it, and current forms in the windings, which charges the battery and powers the ignition
• You will recognise a burnt-out stator by blackened windings, a burnt smell, a battery that will not charge, and a spark that disappears once the engine heats up
• The photos mark: outer 93 mm, central hole Ø 32 mm and coil pack height 24 mm; five separate terminals are also visible
• This product also includes a Hall sensor – it is photographed separately, together with five wires
• The list has a second, identical ATV250 18-pole stator, marked with the letter B: its central hole is Ø 29 mm, and the pack is 21 mm. It is exactly these two dimensions that differ – measure your own
• Before replacing it, measure the winding resistance and the insulation resistance to earth: often the fault is not the stator, but the voltage regulator or oxidised connector contacts
• The pole count alone is not enough: the plate diameter, the number of wires and the connector type must all match too – compare it with your old stator

To be straight with you: what the letter C in the name means, the supplier did not explain – the question has been sent to them. Which year's model and which modification it is for, the supplier did not specify, and we do not guess – write us your model and year. Before ordering, measure your stator plate diameter and count the wires – or send us a photo of the old part: we will check it.
