Generator windings (stator) ATV250 for a quad, 18 poles, marked B — the photo shows how it differs from the C.

• The stator is the stationary part of the generator: the magnet spins around it, and current builds up in the windings, charging the battery and powering the ignition
• You can tell a burnt-out stator by a blackened winding, a smell of burning, a battery that will not charge, and a spark that fades once the engine warms up
• The photo marks: 12 V, Ø 93 mm outer, central bore Ø 29 mm, 40 mm, mounting hole Ø 6 mm, coil-stack height 21 mm and a 360 mm wiring loom
• The list has a second identical ATV250 18-pole stator, marked with the letter C: its central bore is Ø 32 mm, the stack is 24 mm, and a Hall sensor is included with it. That is exactly what differs — measure your own
• Before replacing it, measure the winding resistance and the insulation resistance to earth: quite often the fault is not the stator but the voltage regulator or oxidised connector contacts
• The pole count alone is not enough: the plate diameter, the number of wires and the connector type must all match too — compare it with your old stator

Which year's model and which modification it is for, the supplier did not state, and we do not guess — write us your model and year. Before ordering, measure your stator plate's diameter and count the wires — or send a photo of the old part: we will check it.
