Glass fuse 20A

Glass fuse, the name states 20 A: in the photo — a clear glass tube with metal end caps, and inside, not a thin wire but a wide flat strip. Measure the length and diameter of your old fuse before ordering.

• A fuse is, by convention, the weakest point in the circuit: when overloaded it blows first and so protects the wiring and the device
• In the photo the fuse is shown in two positions — upright and lying down — so you can see both the top of the cap and the inner strip along its full length
• The fusible element is a wide flat strip with a narrower section in the middle, not a round wire
• There are small markings on the caps, but you cannot read them in this photo, so we take the 20 A figure from the name only
• The photo gives no tube length, no diameter, no voltage and no blow-speed marking
• Supplier code MC 06790 — quote it again when ordering

To be straight with you: whether this is a fast-blow or slow-blow fuse, the maker did not state, and we do not guess. Other glass-fuse cards of ours show a thin wire inside the photo, and this one shows a wide strip; which rating matches which inside is not written on the parts, so we do not match ratings from photos. Before ordering, measure the length and diameter of your old fuse, send us a photo of the old part — we will check it before you order.
