Resistor for LED turn signals 20W 15ohm

Resistor for LED turn signals, the name states 20 W and 15 Ω: in the photo – a housing wrapped in black heat-shrink tubing with pairs of red and black wires, and there are no markings on it at all. Compare the terminals with your turn signal connector.

• An LED turn signal draws several times less current than an incandescent bulb, so the relay starts flashing too fast; a resistor wired in parallel returns to the circuit the current the relay expects
• The housing is wrapped entirely in black heat-shrink tubing; even zoomed in we found no markings on it, so we take the 20 W and 15 Ω only from the name
• A pair of red wires comes out of one end, a pair of black out of the other; in each pair one terminal is a male plug, the other a female socket, all gold-coloured, in transparent sleeves
• This pair lets you splice into the existing turn signal connector without cutting the wiring
• In our neighbouring listing the housing of the same 20 W resistor is white ceramic with the rating printed on it, while this one is black and unmarked; the maker did not explain what differs inside
• When working, the resistor gets very hot, so it is mounted to metal, not to plastic or to the wiring loom
• The photo gives no dimensions, no voltage, and no mounting lugs

To be straight with you: whether 15 Ω is an exact or an approximate figure is not confirmed on the product, because there is no marking there; we did not measure it ourselves. Before ordering, measure the size of your turn signal terminals and plan the spot where you will mount the resistor to metal, and send us a photo of the old part – we will check it before you order.
