Generator 2T 50cc for the engine, 2 poles – a set: rotor, stator and connector.

• The stator is the stationary part of the generator: a magnet rotates around it, and current builds up in the windings, which charges the battery and feeds the ignition
• The photo shows all three items: the rotor with a wedge-shaped bore and six bolts, the stator with two coils, and the white connector
• There really are two poles here – this is the only item in this section whose coils are not covered in the photo and can be counted
• The set is handy when you do not know what burned out: both parts are replaced at once and there is no question of compatibility
• Before replacing, measure the winding resistance and the insulation resistance to earth: quite often the fault is not the stator but the voltage regulator or oxidised connector contacts
• The dimensions are marked in the following photos: rotor outer 106 mm and Ø 86 mm, bores Ø 24 mm and Ø 16 mm – put your old one next to it and compare
