Shock absorber height between axes 250mm spring 8mm

Rear shock absorber: the name gives 250 mm between the axles and an 8 mm spring, and the photo has 250 mm and Ø 8 mm written on it too.

• Honestly: the photo on this card is not a separate photo of this product. We compared the photos point by point – it matches the neighbouring card's photo, and only the numbers written on it differ. So we do not describe the appearance as unique, and we rely only on the labels
• The same image is used for the 355 mm card too – only two labels differ: 250 mm versus 355 mm and Ø 8 mm versus Ø 7 mm. The one-hundred-and-five-millimetre difference is not visible in the photo, because it is the same photo
• So choose by the measured gap between the eyes on your old shock absorber, not by the picture
• There is also a second card with the same 250 mm gap between the axles – with a white spring whose wire thickness is not stated. In this one the wire is 8 mm
• Measure from the centre of one eye to the centre of the other – that is exactly the length the name gives. The full length of the part with the eye edges is always greater; in some photos it is given as a separate number, and in some it is not
• The second size that needs to match is the eye bore: a bolt thicker than the bore will not fit, and a thinner one will let the eye wobble
• The spring wire thickness changes the stiffness: a thicker wire means a firmer ride. If the old spring was thinner, the ride will become firmer, even if the length matches
• It is time to replace it when oil is weeping from the rod, when the spring has sagged, or when the eye bush has worked loose and rattles over bumps
