Product information

XADO ring release, full-cycle cleaning instructions:

Have you noticed increased oil consumption, smoking or a loss of power? The most common cause is stuck piston rings. When carbon deposits make the rings lose their mobility, they can no longer fit tightly against the cylinder walls, so oil gets into the combustion chamber and is burned.

To avoid costly mechanical repairs, we recommend a two-stage intensive restoration procedure, specially developed to restore ring mobility and stop oil "eating".

STAGE I: Deep cleaning of the oil system with "XADO Red Flush"

This step ensures that all accumulated build-up, varnish and dirt are safely dissolved and removed from the oil galleries.

  • Use: Pour XADO Red Flush into a warm engine through the oil filler opening.
  • Choose the cleaning intensity:
    • Standard cleaning: Let the engine idle for 15–20 minutes.
    • Intensive cleaning: If the engine is very dirty, you can drive up to 200 km in normal mode with this additive. This allows the active substances to penetrate into the deepest parts.

STAGE II: Cleaning the combustion chamber and rings with "XADO Red Anticarbon"

After flushing the oil system (but before draining the old oil), move on to restoring the upper part of the engine.

  • Warm up the engine. The engine should be warm, but not hot.
  • Unscrew the spark plugs (injectors or glow plugs).
  • Disconnect the connector of the ignition distributor sensor, the Hall sensor or the commutator. Disconnect the fuel supply to the cylinders.
  • Spray the product into each cylinder in turn (up to 5 s) through the hose nozzle. Put the spark plugs (injectors or glow plugs) back in, thus ensuring that the product does not evaporate. Wait 10–20 minutes.
  • Unscrew the spark plugs (injectors). Cover the spark plug holes with an absorbent cloth so that the dirt that flies out does not get onto the paint of the car's body parts. Crank the engine with the starter for a few seconds. The procedure can be repeated 2–4 times.
  • To avoid "dry" friction when starting the engine after carbon deposit removal, it is recommended to pour 10–15 mg of fresh engine oil into each cylinder.
  • Put the spark plugs (injectors or glow plugs) back in, reconnect the wires and sensors, and reconnect the fuel supply.
  • Start the engine and let it run at higher revs for up to 15 minutes. During this time the softened coke residues will be removed through the exhaust system.

STAGE III: A fresh start with new oil

Drain the old oil only after these two stages. All the dissolved dirt from both cleaning stages will leave together with it. Replace the oil filter and pour in new oil.

WE RECOMMEND:

After using the ring release kit, additionally use XADO EX120 REVITALIZANT in the freshly changed oil to coat the cylinder-piston group with metal-ceramic, thus reducing oil burning even further and protecting the engine from further wear.
