• The photo marks 285 mm overall length, a 40 mm threaded end and a 20,50 mm head width
• The 10 mm arrow points to the smooth shank – that is the diameter under the bearing
• This axle is longer than the front one in the same row, because the rear wheel with the sprocket and the brake disc takes up more room between the swingarm eyes
• The axle is chosen by two dimensions: the shank diameter and the length. The diameter has to match the wheel bearing's inner ring, and the length has to be enough to go through both fork eyes with the nut
