GY6 150 cm³ rear drive unit for a scooter: not just an engine — engine, variator, reduction gear, rear axle and drum brake mechanism in one unit.

• A variator (CVT) with its own housing — there are no gears to change
• The reduction gear and the splined rear axle are already in the unit
• The drum brake mechanism with its lever is in place
• Electric starter, kick-start lever, air filter housing and wiring loom
• Forced air cooling — a fan turns under the cowl, no radiator needed

To be straight with you: there is no carburettor in the set — the inlet flange is empty in the photos. And GY6 is not a model but a family: the units differ in belt length, wheel size and the length of the unit itself. Before ordering, read the wheel size off the sidewall of your tyre, count how many shock absorbers hold the rear end up, and photograph the old unit from the side. With that we will tell you whether it fits — and you will not have to send a heavy box back.

Smaller units of the same type are the GY6 80 cm³ ones: for a 12-inch wheel, and for a 10-inch with a 669 belt.
