Air filter low coated KY - A 00 D35

A low air filter, 35 mm connection. The filter’s job is to keep dust and sand out of the carburettor and cylinder: a clogged filter chokes the draw, and without it the piston and rings wear out fast.

• Connection diameter 35 mm — the rubber sleeve slips onto the carburettor spigot and is tightened with a clamp; the clamp is in the set
• The body is low — it fits where there is little room behind the carburettor
• The element is covered by a clear plastic cap — it protects against splashes and direct rain
• The filtering element is a mesh: it can be washed and used again, and after washing and drying it is worth oiling with air filter oil (it is in the "Oils & care" category)
• When to change it: when the element stays grey even after washing, when it is torn, or when the rubber sleeve has gone hard and cracked
• Look for other connection sizes in the same list
• An open filter instead of the standard housing lets more air through: the mixture goes lean and the main jet usually has to be taken a size up — look for jets in the "Carburettors and their parts" category

To be straight with you: the maker states only the connection diameter — not the body dimensions, and not which engine the filter is made for. The filter sleeve is measured on the inside and the carburettor spigot on the outside: measure the outside diameter of your spigot or send a photo — we will tell you whether they match.
