Foam air filter with spring KY - D 184 D44

Foam air filter, 44 mm connection; series KY-D 184. All the air the engine draws in passes through the filter: whatever does not get through the element does not reach the cylinder either.

• Connection diameter 44 mm — the rubber sleeve slips onto the carburettor spigot and is tightened with a clamp; the clamp is in the set
• The foam element can be washed and used again: after washing it and drying it well, it needs to be oiled with air filter oil (you’ll find it in the "Oils & care" category) — dry foam lets dust through
• When to change it: when the element stays grey even after washing, when it is torn, or when the rubber sleeve has gone hard and cracked
• The same filter is also made with a 40 mm connection — it is right next to this one, in the same list
• An open filter instead of the standard housing lets more air through: the mixture goes lean and the main jet usually has to be taken a size up — look for jets in the "Carburettors and their parts" category

To be straight with you: the maker states only the connection diameter — not the body dimensions, and not which engine the filter is made for. The filter sleeve is measured on the inside and the carburettor spigot on the outside: measure the outside diameter of your spigot or send a photo — we will tell you whether they match.
