Product information

Foam air filter, connector diameter 43 mm. All the air the engine draws in passes through the filter: whatever does not get through the element will not reach the cylinder.

  • Connector diameter 43 mm – the rubber sleeve fits over the carburettor spigot and is tightened with a clamp; the clamp is included
  • The foam element is washable and reusable: after washing and drying it well, it needs to be coated with air filter oil (you'll find it in the category "Oils & care") – dry foam lets dust through
  • When to replace it: when the element stays grey even after washing, when it is torn, or when the rubber sleeve has hardened and cracked
  • Look for other connector sizes in the same list
  • An open filter in place of the standard housing lets through more air: the mixture leans out and the main jet usually has to be taken larger – look for jets in the category "Carburettors and their parts"
