HIFLO HF170B is a spin-on oil filter. It traps wear particles and deposits: the filter decides what oil reaches the engine bearings and valve train.

  • HIFLO number HF170B — the filter is matched by it: check your motorcycle's manual or copy the number off the old filter
  • Housing black (B); the same category also has HF170C — chrome-plated
  • Replaced together with the oil; there is no need to change it separately
  • Before screwing in the new filter, coat its sealing ring (gasket) with clean oil and check that the old filter's ring has not stayed on the engine — if two remain, oil will leak
