HIFLO HF155 is a cartridge oil filter: only the element is replaced, and its housing stays on the engine. The filter traps wear particles and deposits: it decides what oil reaches the engine bearings and valve train.

  • HIFLO number HF155 — the filter is matched by it: check your motorcycle's manual or copy the number off the old filter
  • Cartridge type, not spin-on — it has no thread and is not turned with a wrench: the element is placed into the housing under the cap
  • Replaced together with the oil; there is no need to change it separately
  • The cap's sealing ring (gasket) is replaced along with it — it usually needs replacing at the same time; the maker does not state whether it is included in the package: write to us and we will check before we ship
  • When fitting the new element, make sure it seats all the way in — fitted wrong, it will let unfiltered oil through
