HIFLO HF141 – a cartridge-type oil filter: only the element is replaced, its housing stays in the engine. The filter traps wear particles and deposits: the filter decides what oil reaches the engine bearings and the valve train.

  • HIFLO number HF141 – the filter is chosen by this number: check your motorcycle's manual or copy the number off the old filter
  • Cartridge-type, not screw-on – it has no thread and is not turned with a wrench: the element is fitted into its housing under a cap
  • Changed together with the oil, no need to change it separately
  • The cap's sealing ring (gasket) is changed at the same time – it usually needs replacing together with the element; whether it is included in the package, the maker does not state: write us and we will check before shipping
  • When fitting the new element, make sure it seats all the way in – if fitted incorrectly, it will let unfiltered oil through
