• On the casting of the lower half-clamp the mark WL can be read
• The clamp is chosen to match the handlebar tube diameter at the clamping point: too wide a handlebar will not fit, too narrow will not tighten up
• It is time to replace it when the clamp's lug is cracked, when the bolt thread is stripped, or when the handlebar turns in the clamp once tightened
