YAMAHA variator dampers (sliders): overall width 18 mm, thickness 6 mm, and from the side two different heights – 15 mm and 13 mm. The stepped side is what sets them apart from the other sliders in this list.

  • Marked in the front-view drawing: overall width 18 mm, notch 4 mm at the top and 7 mm at the bottom, 8 mm deep
  • Marked in the side-view drawing: heights 15 mm and 13 mm and thickness 6 mm – the slider is stepped, one leg is higher than the other
  • Three identical sliders in the photo; how many go into a package is not shown by the data we have
  • The list also has "Variator dampers (sliders) SUZUKI AD" – also 18 mm wide, but there the notch is 3 mm at the top and the height is 10 mm, so you cannot swap one for the other
  • A worn slider gets thinner and starts to wobble in the groove: the moving side of the variator begins to catch sideways, a rattle appears when it moves and the belt wears unevenly
