HIFLO HF112 is a cartridge oil filter: only the element is replaced, the housing stays in the engine. It holds back the wear particles and the sludge.

  • The HIFLO number HF112 is what the filter is picked by: check it in your motorcycle's manual or copy the number off the old filter
  • A cartridge, not a spin-on — it has no thread and is not undone with a wrench: the element goes into the housing under a cover
  • It is changed together with the oil; there is no need to change it separately
  • The cover's sealing ring (the gasket) is changed at the same time — it usually has to be renewed together with the element; whether it is in the pack, the maker does not state: write us and we will check before we send
  • When you fit the new element, make sure it seats all the way — badly seated, it will let unfiltered oil through
