• The first dimension to match is the handlebar tube diameter at the clamp: too wide a handlebar will not fit into the housing, too narrow will let the housing spin
• The second thing is the cable end: throttle cables end in cylindrical nipples of different sizes, and the wrong nipple will not seat in the drum
• The throttle grip must return by itself once you let go. If it stays turned without being pressed, either the drum is dirty or the clamp is over-tightened
• It is time to replace it when the housing is cracked at the bolt, when the drum is worn, or when the grip no longer returns by itself
