Universal tachometer

Universal tachometer in a black round housing: x1000rpm scale marking, white digits from 0 to 8, then red, at the bottom a bracket with one hole, at the back five wires. Measure the spot where you will mount it.

• The tachometer shows how many revolutions per minute the engine is turning – it makes it easier to shift gear in time and not run the engine into the red zone.
• Where the scale ends is not legible in the photos: after 8 red digits are visible, but we cannot read the last one, so we do not state the upper limit.
• In the first photo the scale markings glow blue, in the other they are white and do not light up.
• The wires are red, yellow, green and two black; three of them end in round plug tips, the ends of the other two do not appear in the photo.
• The bracket is a bent plate, bolted with nuts to two studs at the back of the housing, with one hole at the bottom.
• The photos give neither the housing diameter nor the size of the bracket hole.

To be straight with you: which wire connects to what, where the tachometer takes its rev signal from and what voltage it needs is not marked on the housing, and we do not guess the wiring. The name calls it universal, but which engines it is meant for is not stated. Before ordering, measure the spot for the tachometer, send us a photo of your installation or the old instrument — we will check it before you order.
