Air filter high rotated 90 KY - A 148 D40

A tall air filter with a 90° sleeve, 40 mm connection; series KY-A 148. The filter’s job is to keep dust and sand out of the carburettor and cylinder: a clogged filter chokes the draw, and without it the piston and rings wear out fast.

• Connection diameter 40 mm — the rubber sleeve slips onto the carburettor spigot and is tightened with a clamp; the clamp is in the set
• The sleeve is turned 90° — the filter lies to the side rather than straight behind the carburettor; handy when there is no room left behind it
• The body is tall — before ordering check whether there is enough room for it under the plastics or by the frame
• The filtering element is a mesh: it can be washed and used again, and after washing and drying it is worth oiling with air filter oil (it is in the "Oils & care" category)
• When to change it: when the element stays grey even after washing, when it is torn, or when the rubber sleeve has gone hard and cracked
