Air filter high cone D54

Tall cone-shaped air filter, connection diameter 54 mm. The air filter protects the carburettor and the cylinder from dust. A clogged filter makes the engine pull worse, and without a filter sand goes straight into the cylinder.

• Connection diameter 54 mm – the rubber sleeve fits over the carburettor spigot and is tightened with a clamp; the clamp is included
• Dimensions: overall height 83 mm, filter part 65 mm – measure whether you have that much room
• The filtering element is a mesh: it can be washed and reused, and once washed and dried it is worth oiling with air filter oil (you will find it in the "Oils & care" category)
• When to replace it: when the element stays grey even after washing, when it is torn, or when the rubber sleeve has hardened and cracked
• The same filter also comes with 50 and 60 mm connections – you will find them nearby, in the same listing
• An open filter in place of the standard housing lets through more air: the mixture leans out, and the main jet usually needs to be taken larger – look for jets in the "Carburettors and their parts" category
