Carburettor 3KJ for the YAMAHA JOG 50 two-stroke engine. The carburettor's job is to prepare the petrol-and-air mixture. Starting, idle and pull as you accelerate all depend on it.

  • Before ordering, compare with your own: the intake flange diameter, and the positions of the cable and hoses – that is what the photos are for
  • After fitting a new carburettor, the idle almost always needs adjusting – there is a separate screw for that

Check before replacing the carburettor. Hard starting and an uneven idle are not always its fault: often the cause is the spark plug, the ignition, a clogged fuel tap or fuel filter. Those are quicker and easier to check – start there.
