Product information

Carburettor PD for a 260–300 cm³ class engine: 30 mm diffuser. The carburettor mixes petrol with air: it determines how the engine starts, holds idle and pulls when accelerating.

  • Diffuser (bore diameter) 30 mm – must match your old one or what the engine manufacturer specifies
  • Before ordering, compare with your own: the intake flange diameter, the cable and hose positions – that is what the photos are for
  • After fitting a new carburettor, the idle almost always needs adjusting – there is a separate screw for that

Before replacing the carburettor, check it. Hard starting and uneven idle are not always due to it: the cause is often the spark plug, ignition, a clogged fuel tap or fuel filter. Checking those is quicker and simpler – start there.
