DELLORTO carburettor for a two-stroke engine: diffuser 17,5 mm. The carburettor's job is to prepare the petrol-air mixture. Starting, idle and pull under acceleration all depend on it.

  • Diffuser (bore diameter) 17,5 mm — must match your old one or what the engine manufacturer specifies
  • Before ordering, compare with your own: the intake flange diameter, the cable and hose locations — that is what the photos are for
  • After fitting a new carburettor, the idle almost always needs adjusting — there is a separate screw for that

The carburettor is not always to blame. If the engine starts hard or will not hold idle, first check the spark plug, ignition, fuel tap and fuel filter — that is quicker and simpler.
