Voltage regulation relay 4-wire system

Voltage regulation relay for a 4-wire system: the photo marks 68 mm width, 61 mm from the outer edge of one mounting hole to the other, 60 mm height and Ø 8 mm holes. Measure the gap between your old regulator's mounting holes, outer edge to outer edge, before ordering.

• The regulator holds the alternator's voltage at a level the battery and bulbs can still take; when it fails it either stops charging or starts blowing bulbs
• We measured the arrow ends in pixels: the 68 mm line rests on the outer edges of the housing, and the 61 mm arrow ends rest on the outer edges of both mounting holes, not their centres – the sides of the lower housing part end at those same edges. The gap between the hole centres is not marked in the photo and is smaller by one hole diameter
• The 60 mm arrow runs from the top edge of the housing to the bottom, and the Ø 8 mm callout rests on the mounting hole
• Four wires come out of the housing – green, yellow, orange and red; the name's "4-wire system" matches the count in the photo
• In the corner of the photo a white four-contact connector block is shown separately, its sockets arranged in two rows of two
• The housing is cast, ribbed on both sides, with the mounting holes on opposite edges
• The photo gives no voltage, no current and no purpose for the wires

To be straight with you: which of the four wires goes to the battery, which to earth, and which two to the alternator, the maker did not write, and we do not guess it: wire it by guesswork and you burn the regulator or the alternator windings. Which model and which years this relay fits is also not stated. Before ordering, measure your old regulator's mounting holes – both the gap between their centres and the gap from outer edge to outer edge – and the hole diameter, send us a photo of the old part – we will check it before you order.
