Temperature sensor for KYMCO, PEUGEOT and SYM machines: the photo shows a brass body with a hex, a thread and a protruding sensing stem, and at the back – 1 wire in a black braid with a black cylindrical end fitting. Compare the end fitting with your own wiring.

• A sensor like this measures engine or coolant temperature and sends the reading to the dash; when it dies, the needle either lies flat or sits at maximum
• The brass stem is thinner than the thread and protrudes forward – it is the sensing part, so do not clamp or bend it
• There is one wire, wrapped in black braid; for sensors like this the body itself usually stands in for the second contact, but this is written nowhere on this product, so we do not state it as fact
• At the end of the wire – a black cylindrical plastic end fitting with a lengthwise rib
• The name lists three makes, but no maker's mark is visible on the sensor itself in the photo
