Brake sensor (246140010)

Brake sensor 246140010: in the photo — a brass body with a knurled ring and a thread, a black rubber plunger at one end and 2 round wire contacts in a black socket at the other. Compare the contact shape with your wiring.

• A brake sensor switches on the brake light when the lever or pedal moves; when it fails it leaves the light either completely dark or on all the time
• The contacts are round, made of wire, two of them, bent to the side out of a black plastic socket — these are not flat blade contacts, so a plain blade terminal will not clip onto them
• At the opposite end, a black rubber plunger tip protrudes from a brass threaded neck
• The body is brass, knurled around the middle — the knurling is for tightening by hand
• There are five sensors of this line in the shop, and they differ not only by the number in brackets: this one has round copper contacts like wire, while the other cards in this line have flat or silver-metal ones
• The photo gives no length, no thread size, no plunger travel and no voltage
